User followers or band followers?

This may be a dumb question, but I've seen some things in differnt places online that confuse the issue.  I have a personal user login that was created using my facebook login.  I have around 100 followers there.  Also, our band page has about 180 followers.  in order to get verified, do I need to get my band page up to 250 followers or my personal page?  I would think our band page... but we don't really have any control over that page until we're verified, so that seems a little odd.  Before I post a link asking for followers, I just want to be sure I do it right.  

Also- I've read somewhere that my user account will have to be one that I create using my email address, not using a facebook login - is that correct?

Hey @wildponies,

You need 250 followers on the artist page.

I don't think that it matters if the account has been created via Facebook or not but it's always the best choice to use a non-Facebook account.

Awesome - thanks!  So, I'll go with that.  Why is it better to not use a facebook created account though?  I'll go create one now...

It's just better in case a label, management or other band members would like to log into that account as well. I'm sure it would be annoying if they would have to log into your Facebook account everytime they want to log into the Spotify account.

You no longer need 250 followers to get verified.

Spotify for Artists is available for all artists and their management teams. Once you get access to Spotfify for Artists you will be verified.
