Username changed to numbers?

I created a new account on my Samsung phone, with the username as zahrascxrlett. It all worked fine, and on my phone that is still my username. However when I logged on on my laptop, it changed to a random string of numbers. I saw adding your facebook might help, but that hasn't worked. Everything is still fine on my phone, but not on my computer. If I try to reset password, etc on my computer, it says there is no account with the username zahrascxrlett. Please help!

I have just realised that when I actually play music on my chrome on my laptop, it says my username is zahrasxrlett, but I can't log in as that, and when I go on the spotify website (not the music player), it says my username is the string of numbers).

Your username appearing as a combination of numbers: I found out that it might be the tagged URI code for you- you can search for users with uri codes using usernames(ex. spotify:user:qwerasdfdfghghjk) but also you can search with these codes also (ex. spotify:user:1198351434) and it will show you the same user on Spotify. 

Actually a lot of people have experienced this issue - still not fixed?

Hi, it appeaars as a mixture of letters  and numbers - y7bw46c90oghz60405j0stgib - thanks for the advice, I haven't managed to sort it yet but I'llkeep looking.

When I search for <y7bw46c90oghz60405j0stgib> on Spotify, zahrascxrlett (you) appears- which means the sting of random numbers and letters you get is simply the user code for you to let spotify manage user data on the server. But it's strange Spotify can't notice a user while even the user profile still appears(I've tried out sending password reset mail using your normal username- doesn't work, sorry) This must be a problem with Spotify itself, nothing to do with you.

Have you tried out login or sending Password Reset mail to your account using the stange string of numbers(y7bw46c90oghz60405j0stgib) and does it work? Also, if you're using Proxy network turn it off and try again.

Guess we'll have to contact spotify directly- here's how.
