Why am I getting ads while listening to podcasts when I pay for premium?

I pay for the premium subscription mostly so I don't have to listen to ads. I have been listening to some podcasts and getting ads. Why am I getting ads when I pay to not get ads? That does not seem like a good business model.

Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience, however, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. There’s more info about this here.

I am listening to ads from Shopify and other local business while listening to podcasts. I am in Spain and the podcast I listen are from the USA so this adds come from Spotify. I have a premium account too.

As mentioned in my first reply, these sponsorship messages are not controlled by Spotify, but by the podcast creator themselves.
