can't cancel subscription

When i try to cancel my premium membership it just says that my password is incorrect. I am logging on through facebook, I do not understand why this keeps happening. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey guys, sorry to hear you're having problems cancelling your subscription.

Please try giving it another go in another browser such as Chrome or Firefox, if you're using Internet Explorer for example.

If that doesn't help, try logging out of Facebook entirely before going to cancel.

Hello,

 

I am trying to cancel my spotify premium account but cannot because it is attached to my facebook and will not recognize any password i place into it. I am very angry because all i would like to do is cancel my account but it is impossible to actually speak with someone because there is no phone number anywhere. If anyone has experience please respond with help.

The first thing to try here is changing Internet browser and logging out of Facebook.

 

However, if you've already given these a try, just fill out our contact form (About Us > Contact). A member of our payments team will then be able to give you a hand. 

 

@JBC & @lennguyen94 - I can see you've both already opened cases with us. Responses to those are on the way.

Having this same problem and am very frustrated- everything is up to date and #Spotify still won't accept my password. GRR

I am having the same problem with my subscription. I am trying to cancel my subscription. I go to the cancellation page, it asks for your password to confirm that its you, supposedly...but then tells me its the wrong password. Sothen another pages asks you for your user I.D. or email. I try typing my email and it tells me that "it looks like I've been uing facebok to sign in and to go to facebook.com in setting to change the password. I dont know what that means, it does not seem to give directions on how to cancel, it confuses and frustrates me and I try again by typing in my user I.D. and that takes me to the same message to go to facebook.com I try that but have no idea what I am supposed to do there other than change the password, so I do. I go back to spotifyafter I know what the new password is. I try to cancel using the same method and ittells me once again I have the wrong password. What am I supposed to do to get this right? It makes me feel like itis set up this way on purpose. Please help!

I was having the same problem with canceling using my password/username/email on google chrome, but I tried the same the with firefox and it took me through easily. Thanks for your help! 😃

Using Firefox 10.0.2, logged out of facebook, and the cancel subscription page is rejecting my password.

Please have a look at some of our earlier suggestions (changing your browser, logging out of Facebook).

I just wanted to test Spotify Premium for the 30 free trial days. The Problem nox is that i am not able to cancel the subscription in case my password is not accepted!

 

I use the facebook login and so i mean the required password is my facebook password. But even if I change that password and enter the new one it always tells me "Ungültiges Passwort / Incorrect Password". 

 

I'm new in using Spotify and so I just wanted to test the premium without paying straight from the first day of the trials end.

EL_HEAT2012 - I've just moved your thread over to this larger thread. Could you try logging out of Facebook, then trying again?

Alternatively, could you try and cancel in a different internet browser. Such as Google Chrome or Firefox.

I tried that, and it didn't help. I'm using Firefox 11.0.

 

This is very frustrating.

I am trying to cancel my free trial. While trying to cancel my trial i get an invalid password when i know that is the password that i have used to log in. I need help i do not want to get charged for this. Thanks

Stevea - I've just moved your thread over here, as it's the same subject. If you could please try the steps previously mentioned in this thread.

UPDATE: 

 

i had the same problem, using Chrome. opened up IE 8 and it all completely went smooth. No problem.  

4 weeks after this clear post, Spotify still has elected not to address this problem. This is the most poorly run, scavenging, piece-of-crap site I've ever made the mistake of joining. I hope a huge lawsuite is brought against this company.
