cannot login to app after android update; was in offline mode

Seems like spotify keeps closing this issue mentioning a workaround that doesn't work:

My Spotify app was in offline mode. After an android update I needed to login again. When I use the facebook option I get the message 'you are currently set to offline'; if I press 'cancel' the app just closes. If I press 'connect' I'm just staring at a black screen, nothing happens. Yes, my mobile is online.

I cannot login using a password as this is not allowed when you use Facebook as login mode.

Please don't close the issue until it is fixed!!!

Creating this topic made me a 'music fan'. Great, now please Spotify, help your customers and maybe I'll become a 'spotify fan'.
