cannot run spotify .exe

i have tried downloading and running spotify many times and am very frustrated!

every time i click run i get a message "spotify has encountered a problem and needs to shut dow. we are sorry for the inconveneience"

i recently signed up for premium free and would like tohave it before my free trial expires.

What operating system are you using?

i'm using firefox and chrome

Could you try and download/save it then run the installer from the download folder rather than directly inside your browser?
