collaborators not appearing

I made a collaborative playlist for me and a bunch of friends, worked fine for the first 1-2 people that joined, but after another one of my friends joined, the songs they added did not list their account. On my phone, the slot that would show their account showed up as blank, but on my computer it came up as a strange sequence of numbers and letters-“85a6z0dzi8u9t…” They can still add songs just fine but their account seems to be “missing”; it doesn’t even show up on the collaborators list. Is this an account issue, or is the app just freaking out on me?

Thanks for reaching out. The letters and numbers code you mentioned sounds like your friend's auto-generated Spotify username to identify their account. Can you ask them if they followed these steps to choose a display name? Are you able to see this name when going to their account?

Hey, thanks for responding. When I click the name, the app loads for a minute and then says "Couldn't find that page." Also saw my friend's account before and they have an actual chosen username.

Thanks for your reply. Can you try clicking on the three dots button in your playlist to remove your friend as a collaborator, and then add them back? This might refresh things. If that doesn't do the trick, it would be very useful if you could add a screenshot/video recording of the behaviour you're seeing.
