I got a message that my credit card had expired for my spotify premium subscription so I was changed to spotify free. I updated the credit card info then tried to re-order premium. Spotify said I was using the wrong password (but it's the same password I was using before) and wouldn't process my order. I sent them an email message asking for help several days ago but have received no response.
I like spotify but don't like being ignored.

Same problem. Have Spotify on my iPhone and I was trying the Premium Free Trial. Now that the trial is over, I want to suspend my subscription until I can afford it but it won't accept my password. Since I'm logged in with Facebook, I tried my Facebook password in addition to my e-mail/username password and it was not accepted. What glitch is this and why can't I cancel?
I had this same problem but it eventually fixed itself. For me, I had to log out of Spotify and Spotify on Facebook in order for the proper cancellation page to show up on the Spotify website.
The problem is that most of us joined thru Facebook so when we have to re-enter our password for validation, it doesn't work. Once I logged out of all sources, I was forwarded to a separate cancellation page that asked me to enter my Facebook Username and Password and that did the trick for me.
Hope this helps...it may not, though. I might have lucked out after having so much difficulty.
I finally have it work! Here is my experience:
I was using Google Chrom to do all the unsubscription. I tried logging off the Spotify from FB, simply just deleted the Spotify App in the Account Setting on FB. Then I logged off from Spotify (PC Program). Then I tried logging in back to the Spotify webpage using my FB account and went to subscription to cancel the premium. It DIDN'T work because I was still asked for a password.
THEN, I opened the same Spotify webpage using IE. And redid all the steps above, and it WORKED! I was no longer asked for the password! So unsubcription was done. Puha!
For those who has the same problem, try a different web browser!
I have exactly the same problem. My Sonos aplication is also saying that my password is wrong even though it is still the same..Did not change it...Can you send me instructions also?

I'm having the same exact issue here with it not recognizing my facebook password. I know my password and I'm not typing it wrong. It's very frustrating. I just want to cancel my premium. Any news yet?
Jarra- I can see that Sam sent you an email but he's just instructed you use your 'jarra2192' username. Are you using this username and not your email address?
djmt1287 & 126922142- Your cases are a bit different. The first thing I recommend is changing the Internet browser you're using.
If you're on Explorergive Chrome or Firefox a try.
After you've done that, be sure you've logged out of the Facebook site. If you're still having trouble, just pop us over an email via the Contact Form.
Guys - this is BS - I subscribed to the Spotify premium offer, in order to use with a new Sono equipment I just purchased, and it does not work !
I can't log in from anywhere......
Not only this, but when I try to download SPOTIFY in the FB app, it tells me its "not available in a country", whatever it means.
Finally I cant find a way to send an email to the support team. Is this a complete scam ?
Hi Peo - Since you've joined via Facebook you need to retrieve your username and password for your Sonos. For more information, please check out this thread.
Also, while our Contact Form has changed a bit, all you need you to do is log in with your Facebook details (or Spotify username for users that have one) to be directed to the form.
As far as downloading the app, it would be a great help if you could provide a screenshot of the error message you're receiving. We'll then be able to help diagnose the problem.

Please try the steps I've recommended above:
1. Changing the Internet browser you're using.
2. Making sure you've logged out of the Facebook site.

I am using my Facebook account to log in Spotify. I don't have a spefic password for Spotify. It was totally ok until I want to cancel my premium subscription. It asks me for the Spotify password as I come to the last step "For verification purposes, please re-enter your Spotify Password below." BUT BUT BUT, I don't have that. I've even tried my Facebook password, it is incorrect....Then I tried clicking on that "Forgor your password?" to retreive it. But it said that I was logging with my FB account and should go to FB....Arhhh, how could I cancel my subscription??

I am trying to delete a premium account, but it wont let me even though i have changed my password. I can log in with this new password but when it says 'confirm your password' and i enter it, it always says its wrong.

I did what you said but still it doesn't work out for me.
Here is my ultimate solution, hahaha! I have removed the binding credit card in my Paypal and then Spotify won't be able to draw money from it and it will force Spotify to get back to Free 😄
I will wait and see if this works. I have NO choice, since this is the only solution I can come up with.

No helpfull news....The customer service is not the best here....Have premium now for two weeks without being able to use it with Sonos....
Hi, I can log into my spotify acount trough the spotify web page with my username & password and it does not consist of any e mail adress. I have NOT changed any setings in my Sonos system. I just upgraded my spotify to premium and then suddenly my Sonos system says that Spotify is NOT available because " your log in information to spotify is incorrect".
