facebook login failure

I have a spotify account which I originally set up on my old laptop and is connected to my Facebook.

i've just gotten a new Mac laptop and have downlaoded spotify, however when I try to log in with facebook it won't let me, and says "spotify desktop client communication failed". I'm not able to log in with my email instead because it's already being used by the account connected to my Facebook. The only solution I can think of is deleting my account and starting a new one, but I don't even know how to do that!

Please help me I am desperate and crying
