has my spotify account been hacked?

Hi Spotify community!

I've gotten a problem with my spotify premium account.

Yesterday when I tried logging in i got an error message which was saying that my password was invalid and that I should try to log in again. All my playlists are gone and the premium account (user: izak3) is no longer linked to this facebook account which was the only thing I was able to log in with here and is what i write this post from.

I now suspect that I've been hacked and wonder if there is any way for me to reset the playlists of the account (izak3)  to its prior state and send me a new password in my email? I tried to reset it myself but was unable to, I also suspect that the email connected to the account was changed. 

I do realize that this sounds pretty shady but I hope that spotify keeps a record of prior emails for occations like these.

I did read the stickies but I didn't find anything that fitted in exactly with my case.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

Are you sure you're logging into the right account? It's very easy to have both a facebook (email) login and a Spotify (username) login!

 

If it persists, I suggest you submit this online contact form; and someone at Spotify should be able to force log you out everywhere, reset your password, and recover your playlists (or anything else you need for that matter!).

If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Yes, I'm sure since I was logged out from my mobile device, it was how I first noticed something was wrong. Thanks for the help Anthony! I'll follow your advice. 🙂
