has my spotify account been hacked?

Please help me,

 

somebody has hacked my account and is listening to my music and deleteing all my playlists, i have changed all my passwords gmail,facebook,spotify, but he still can reach my account!!!!

Hey kimiah, welcome to the Community.

 

I've just logged you out of all devices so if you've already changed your Facebook/Spotify passwords, he shouldn't be able to regain access. I've also restored your playlists back to an earlier state -- hopefully you won't be missing any.

my account ikorky, email address ikorky@aol.com got hacked and all of my music and play list got erased, ive been trying to reach spotify but am not able to do so. its been about 2 weeks since ive been fighting back and forth tryin gto play my music, also the email address registerd on file is no longer the same one i and the password must of changed also, only way im able to login is becuase of facebook.

Man I am sure this is driving you mad! 

 

Best thing to do is drop the customer services team an email using this form making sure you use a working email address in the box, just explain what has been going on. After you have done that, you will get an automated email reply with a case number (#) in it, if you post that here we can ask someone to chase it up as soon as possible for you.

My account has been hacked. My user name is 'hatcheckclerk' and I can't log in as the password has been changed and there is someone else's email address shown. It now always shows as 'being used by another user'. I cancelled the credit card billing, but not sure it worked if this person is using it? What can I do? Spotify Help doesn't work as the message will go to the hacker?

Hey @hatcheckclerk ! Welcome to the community 🙂

You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this, just make sure you use a working email address in the first box!

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please assist me with regaining control of my hacked account. As of tonight, I was not able to log in and someone else entered their own email for contact. The person who hijacked my account entered this email instead of mine ([Snip-Email(Privacy)-Peter]).

 

This is a message for the moderator/administrator.  Please email me a link to how I can reset password to my account and regain control of it.

@dborowka - Just going to hide that email address to stop you from getting any spam.

If you could reply directly to the automated email which contained the case number (even if it is from no-reply) that will make sure your case reaches an adviser as soon as possible.

I have picked up your case and will be dealing with it via the email.  Could you please send your replies via that email thread?

My account has also been hacked it keeps saying is I'm trying to listen to anything on my iPad that my iPhone is being used ?? There are play lesson people I have never seen I have tried to contact Spotify for three months and have had no luck whatsoever I cannot access Spotify on my iMac at all !! I am really frustrated !!

In the preferred contact box, you will be able to tell Spotify which address to contact you at since they changed the one on your account

 

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

 

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
