issues recovering account info while abroad

I have a premium account in the US and am currently studying in Germany. It is still paid through my american account. I got a new computer during the move and cannot remember my log in info. Help would be much appreciated.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

If you remember the email address or the Spotify username you used when you registered, you can recover your password from the password reset page.

Otherwise, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

When I put in my email it says that I am using spotify through facebook, which I do not. and It says I should change my fb password. So I just logged in using my fb account and it does not appear to recognize that I have an existing premium account.

Do you remember your Spotify username? If so try entering that on the password reset page. 

If you are getting redirected to Facebook when you enter your email address, you have most likely accidentally created a duplicate Spotify account using Facebook at some point in the past. 

If you are still having issues, get in touch with the Spotify team using this support form and a member of the Spotify team will be able to help you out.
