Hey @dhatpanda,

Could you send us a screenshot of what you're seeing so we can get a better understanding of the issue?
Is your purchase of Premium not reflecting in your app?

If this is the case, I'd suggest checking your receipts to see if your payment has gone through.
If it has, I'd suggest you log out of the app and back in twice in a row. This will trigger a manual sync of your settings.
We'll be on the lookout for your response ๐Ÿ™‚

This is what the screen looks like and itโ€™s still a problem in 2024 I canโ€™t log out because I canโ€™t get around this notification. I canโ€™t do anything.

update: I deleted the app and redownloaded. It still doesnโ€™t work. I need a solution.

Hi there @Pineapplemme,

Thanks for your reply in this thread.

This usually means you had Premium, but due to multiple failed payments, your subscription was paused. No worries, you just need to cancel by following these steps:

  1. Log into your Account Overview page.
  2. Under Manage your plan, click Change plan.
  3. Scroll to Cancel Spotify and click Cancel Premium.

Once done, restart the app and you will stop seeing that message. You'll have Spotify free, but if you wish to subscribe to Premium again, you can do it from here

Let us know how that goes.

Cheers!

It didnt work and still says downgrade and if u click it it doesnโ€™t work

Welcome to the thread, @YunoJulian.

Could you folks also try logging out of the account everywhere via the Account Page here? If it's the same Spotify account, this should also log you out of the app where you're seeing the error message and hopefully it disappears afterwards.

It's also worth mentioning that you can be logged into two separate accounts on the Account Page and in the app itself, so just to be sure that's not the case, you can check the steps in this article.

Keep us posted ๐Ÿ™‚

I had the same issue. After logging into my account through the website, I updated my payment method and purchased premium. I then clicked on the Spotify logo in the top left corner of the window on the main page which will direct you to the app. The downgrade pop up disappeared when I did this.
