offline mode

hi, can you help me atall. My account has been stuck on offline for weks now. Is there something that i need to do to ge it back online.

What are you listening on?

If on Windows/Mac then check that the Offline Mode option is not on (in the File menu).

If that's fine then where are you listening? If you are using Spotify over a company or school network then the admins might have blocked it as it does use a lot of P2P traffic - if thats the case you need to talk to the network admins

hi. Thanks for the reply. The offline mode isn't selected. I am using my laptop which runs on windows, and i'm using it at home.

Is there a specific error code that appears at all?

No. There is a blue strip at the top of the screen saying this action is not available in offline mode. The main part of the screen says - whats new is not available offline. I was using free spotify before this error happened, could that have anything to do with it ?

It shouldn't have anything to do with it. Could you try a clean reinstall for us, as this can sometimes happen if your Spotify hasn't updated properly. Just head here for instructions.
