"Card is from a non-Spotify country" ?????

"Card is from a non-Spotify country" ?????

I recently moved to Canada from Ireland. My Spotify account was linked to my Irish credit card. I now want to link it to my Canadian card, understandably. I have changed the country/location of my profile to Canada. When I enter my Canadian card details it tells me that "my card is from a non-Spotify country". Correct me if I am wrong but Spotify does work in Canada. My bank card is about three months old and works with everything else. In fact, I have just paid my phone bill with it. Please, can you advise on how I can overcome this issue as I want to connect my account with my Canadian card as that is where my money is right now?

Hi.

Seems like you need help from Spotify support, here's a link to their contact form:

In the exact same situation, moved from Ireland to Canada and it won't let me switch to a Canadian credit card. Contacted support and they just sent me the standard instructions for changing country which don't work.

same here but from Scotland...

A little late but if someone is searching for an answer, this issue is a recurrent one and if you want to change your country with spotify premium (and change the credit card registered) you just have to cancel your curent subscription. This will remove your previous payment info from spotify system. Once done, you can then update your payment info and country settings. It works for me by the way!
