"It looks like your card is from a non-Spotify country": Not true

I need to change my premium subscription country + payment from Finland to Canada. After following the steps to change my country (Finland --> Canada) successfully, I get an error message saying ""It looks like your card is from a non-Spotify country" when I try to enter new credit card information, for a Canadian issued credit card. This error message is false, as Spotify has launched in Canada. This happened with two different Canadian credit cards. How to fix? Thanks!

Hi @sari_kris!

 

If you're still subscribed to Premium, you'll need to wait until your next billing date for your account to change it's country settings. After that, you can use your Canadian card. You can find more info here.

I'm trying to do the same, but it doesn't work. I attempted to change it yesterday, today the billing date was updated for next month so I came back to try again and I get the same "non-Spotify country" message.

A little late but if someone is searching for an answer, this issue is a recurrent one and if you want to change your country with spotify premium (and change the credit card registered) you just have to cancel your curent subscription. This will remove your previous payment info from spotify system. Once done, you can then update your payment info and country settings. It works for me by the way.

I am getting the same. Moved UK to Canada. I closed my PayPal account, so need to update the details on Spotify.

 

I enter my new Canadian credit card, it tells me that it "Looks like the card is Canadian, do I want to change locations". It then asks me to enter again, before telling me my card is from a non-spotify country.

 

Please advise.
