i just paid to renew my premium subscription today i want to switch to the family subscription if i switch now will i have to payythe 14.99 even though i just paid the 9.99 or do i just pay the difference?

Welcome to the Spotify Community, we're glad to see you're part of the band. 

You can upgrade to Premium for Family anytime so there's no need to cancel your regular Premium subscription. Keep in mind that the renewal date will be brought forward since that subscription comes at a higher price. There's more info about Premium for Family here.
