So i got unlimited today (i think i already had it? but i've had ads ever since i got spotify) So why are there still ads playing after about 5 songs?

Hi zelollarn - It seems no one has logged into that Facebook account since the upgrade.
I'd try going via the Facebook website. Select any track to play a track within the 'Music' section. You'll then be automatically logged into your Spotify account (which should already be Unlimited).
I am also having this issue, I am logging in with Spotify login and have closed down and relogged into Spotify and I am still hearing spotify ads.

Have tried signing out and signing back in twice?
I've relogged now, just gonna wait for a couple of songs to be played.

I've had Unlimited about couple of years now, but now the ads came around. This happened about the same time when you decided that there's no offline & mobile with Unlimited anymore. What to do?

adegerho - Your account has been downgraded to the free version. It just seems your October payment couldn't go through successfully.
Please head over to your subscription page to make sure your card meets the requirements outlined here.
And @neo-x is right. Unlimited users have never been able to use Spotify on mobile devices/ offline mode. You can upgrade to Premium easily via your subscription if you wish.

Nothing is working. I still have ads. I have completely deleted everything spotify and completely reinstalled. I have attempted to contact spotify 4 times. This is very upsetting. No way I want to upgrade to premium when unlimited doesn't even work.
I logged out. tried to log back in after repeatedly fighting this all morning and now I cannot log in.
Yes facebook. Yes everything is correct.

I would suggest you drop the team a direct message using the online contact form so someone can look into your account for you. If you get an automated email reply, just reply back to that with your message again and it will be sent to a member of the internal team. Response times are normally within 48 hours, so be sure to check your email inbox as well as spam/junk folders.

Yeah what customer service, after 4 attempts I think no one actually works there. Just the accountant who takes the money and then ignores me.
So my solution is if no one helps me by Monday I am going to cancel, consider that I wasted my money and start bashing Spotify on Facebook and Twitter and whatever else until I am not made anymore.
As an artist I do have some pretty powerful musician friends who convinced me to join spotify and are now embarrassed I am having so much trouble... Just a heads up.
Spotify's customer service team are normally top notch, I have never had an issue when I have needed to contact them.
Have you followed my instructions in the post above about replying to the automated email if you got one?

yes, i upgraded yesterday, logged in and out multiple times and still get ads. I am paying not to hear ads, so not sure why I am paying.
got it yesterday and it won't stop playing ads

I've been paying 5 bucks per month for some time now and getting the no commerical service that I paid for, then suddenly a few weeks ago, I'm getting commercials the same way I would if I was paying nothing. I've been told to log off, then on, then re-install, then log on again, nothing has changed, I'm still getting commericals. How can Spotify take my money for something they've promised me but are not delivering to me? Is this a con job?
