user-name after update

user-name after update

can anyone help? i have just had spotify updated, after update i have to enter user-name when logging in all the time. after a few times this gets rather annoying, but before up date the user was automaticaly there and i just had to enter my password. can anybody tell me if i have to type in user-name everytime i want to log on or is there a solution to this problem(or does this new update not allow this????)

Hello, which spotify app and version is this issue happening on? I think I have been dealing with a slight issue with my desktop app not remembering my sign on information, before it would save my user name but I had to put in my password always, but neither information is saved anymore, might this be what is happening to you on your desktop app maybe?

yeah thats what is exactly happening to me. i,am on the free version and using the desktop app on a windows 8, 64 bit system myself. and yes it used to store my username before. it,s a bit of a pain???

Ahh what version of the desktop app are you using currently?

Ahh thanks it would seem there is a slight bug with remembering and saving just the username in the login fields of the desktop app of that version. With the new 1.0.0.1 app version coming not sure if anymore updates to the 0.9.xxx app are coming anymore. The last information was that the new app would be complete and updated everyone in early 2015. You might have to just weather through the sign on issue until everyone finds out where the new app is headed, myself I am a little worried with the new version right now. But that is neither here nor there for this particular issue.
