Add friends from smartphone-app

Hello. I've searched on the web but didn't find the answer: how can I add a friend directly from my smartphone? Thanks a lot

Hi. At the moment, any facebook friends appear automatically under "friends" but the ability to do anything with non-facebook, spotify friends seems to have disappeared. This has been reported to the staff.

I was able to find friends in the app, by typing spotify:user:username. Here, replace username by the actual username of your friend.

However, I did not find an option to add my friend as a friend/connection in the spotify app in order to follow his paylists etc. Does anybody know how this can be made possible?
