My Question or Issue
When I listen to a song and I want to add it to my playlists the order of the playlists is completely random.
(I think this is like that since approximately a month ago when a new layout was coming out. Since the playlist 'songs, that you like' (German: 'Songs, die dir gefallen') was pinned on top of the other playlists.)
I have selected Custom (German: Benutzerdefiniert) to make sure all my playlists have the order like on my computer.
But when I try to add a song to a playlist (and only then) my playlists are in completely random order.
I have no clue what to do because there is no way of sorting the playlists at the moment when you want to add the song into your playlist.
Please help me! 😞

Just another reason for current subscribers like myself to consider moving to another streaming service. This is not the first time I've had issues with Spotify making changes on their behalf and not the millions of users. We have a voice, and as long as we do, use it. Whether through these forums or by canceling your respective subscription and going elsewhere...
This problem also appears on my iPhone SE (running iOS 14) as well as an Android phone (Xperia X Compact) running Android 8 Oreo, and having over 20 playlists, things can very confusing for me real fast. However, this isn't a problem with my other 2 Android phones, running Android 9 Pie (Xperia XZ1) and Android 10 (Huawei Mate 20) respectively. It appeared a moment on my Xperia XZ1 for a moment but reordered itself alphabetically afterwards.
Its now May 2022 and this is still a problem on my laptop running windows. I can now search on my phone if I know the playlist name and add it that way. But its still an issue on my computer, will this ever be resolved? I'm seriously thinking of making a youtube video about this problem
may I suggest someone who works for spotify actually uses it and goes to save a track to a playlist that they know.. the obvious way to display the users playlists is in an alphabetical way. An example: Would you go to a library to get a book on 'Algebra' and have to go through every book in the library until you found the one you wanted - or would you go to the section marked 'A' to find a book with that title!!!???
Its obvious that's the way it should be.
Whoever reads this, may I suggest you try to do this yourself. Its very, very annoying.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE IT ALPHABETICAL!!! THANK YOU
We need every one to comment and like this. I’ve been letting it go for so long now just because I was too lazy to look it up. But man, how annoying it is. Who in their fk right mind at spotify thought it was a good idea. People remember the order of their playlists. Now instead of just feeling where your playlist is and scrolling. You now have to recruit some brain cells to actually find the playlist you’re adding to. I’m pretty their going to say the decision is based on the data they gathered.
Fix this already! This is much more difficult to add to playlists now.
Still an issue on both mobile and desktop. Using search is not a valid work-around either, because when I want to sort a song into multiple playlists, I can't always think of every playlist where it needs to go. I want to be able to see all my playlists together in the order that makes sense to me (which is not necessarily alphabetical either), see which playlists the song already appears in, and add/remove it accordingly.
