Android App: Song does not start, cannot call album or song details


Android App on my cellphone (Android 10) does not work anymore.
Logged in as premium member.
I start a song and the play button appears to play the song but then nothing more happens; the song just does not start, like frozen. I also cannot call any details of albums or songs anymore as it says "Sorry, something seems to be wrong. Retry later". I can call playlist and do the search but when I then want to play a song I am at the starting point of my problem.

This whole mess started when I tried to play a song with this app although Spotify was running with same account on another device. I then tried to de-connect but then the whole problem started.
I de-installed Spotify multiple times including what you call clean reinstall so erasing cache data manually by a file organizer. Same problem with this app when another user instead of me is logging in. Even he cannot play a song with my phone with his own account.
It seems that the phone is still acting as remote to the other device even when this device is shut down and/or when I have logged out there.

We suggest that you head over to your Account page > scroll down, and select SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE to remove the access from any device in which you've previously logged in.


Additionally, we recommend changing your password here to secure your account.


If after following these steps the issue persists, would you mind trying again with a different internet connection to check if that makes the difference?
