My Question or Issue

Spotify pausing itself when charging phone. It pausing randomly, after 30min-1/2h.

When phone is not connected to charger - Spotify working fine, only on connected charger there is problem.

Tried with more than one phone to check if it phone's problem - on all phones is the same issue.

Also tried disabling battery optimization for Spotify App - this also not worked.

Hey there @martinesocialgroup,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this type of case, it's a good idea to check if Spotify has permission to run in the background. This might vary depending on the make/model of the device you use, so make sure that those are enabled on your mobile device.

Another reason for this might be that most phones give an audio notification when charging is enabled, which could also be overriding the playback output. Have you noticed if this is the case on your side?

We'd also like to gather some additional info about your device, so we can continue investigating. Please send us:

  • The make/model and OS of your mobile device.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there.
  • Are you using wireless charging?
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
  • Does this happen when using other streaming apps while the device is charging?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
