Android - Type of storage/maximum storage

Hi all,

I have just joined Spotify on the Premium trial, loving it so far.

I was wondering a few things.

1. After looking through the Help and Guides, I was wondering is storage on Android (I have a HTC One M9) restricted to just SD cards? I have an external 2.5" SATA drive, (WD Elements 1Tb) which I connect to, and is recognised by the phone, using a OTG cable, but when I open Spotify only my phone and the SD card is visible.

2. What is the maximum size disk space that Spotify will recognise and is there a limit to the amount of songs that can be stored and played?

Hi there, OTG devices are not compatible I'm afraid which is why you cannot see the external device.

Add for the maximum size SD card, that's whatever your device can read. For the M9 it's up to 200GB

Lastly, you are allowed a maximum of 10,000 tracks to store offline over 3 devices. That's 3,333 limit per device
