My Question or Issue

I have a Pioneer VSX-832 with built ChromeCast for audio.

When playing music on Spotify from my phone I can see this device and I select it, but it doesn't work properly. While trying to connect it skips through the tracks on my playlist. Sometimes it plays one second of each track, before skipping to the next. I have not yet succeeded having it connect properly and play the tracks normally.

When connecting the same way from YouTube Music it works as espected, so it seems as something is not working correctly in the Spotify-Chromecast interface.

The receiver also has a Spotify network connection available and this works fine. 

I wan't to use Chromecast in order to be able to use the Google Home app to control all my speakers and rooms in my house. As long Spotify will not connect to my Chromecast I can't get it working.

The receiver is upgraded to latest firmware and I am running the latest Spotify app for Android.

Any suggestions?

Yo tengo el mismo problema.

 No me funciona bien ni Chromecast, ni Connect. A veces funciona un rato y después se desconecta o directamente muestra el display del amplificador que está en línea pero no reproduce el sonido.

This is a known issue. Maybe the latest firmware solved it. You can try to update your device.
