Android app keeps connecting to my other device or stopping when I'm listening on my phone

My Question or Issue

 My phone keeps constantly connecting to my other device (which is in my house) and stops playing on the phone. If I unlock my phone it asks do I want to 'keep listening on this device' or play on the one in my house and it also restarts the playlist from the beginning. The trouble with this is I'm no where near my house, I'm in work listening to my phone through headphones so when it does this 50 times a day it's beyond frustrating. It's been doing this for over 2 weeks now and I'm losing the will to live with it. I love my spotify app and can't imagine not having it but nothing I try stops this problem. I've uninstalled, re-installed, restarted the app, quit the app, asked it to forget the device until I need it again, everything I can think of or google and nothing works.

HELP!
