Auto power off of app on ZTE Axon 7

While playing music on my device, as usual the screen locks after some inactivity. Spotify ceases to continue playing music. When the screen is unlocked, the app must be restarted, not just continued. It seems as if the power button kills the app. I've searched through the power settings on both my device and Spotify.

What am I missing? Please assist, or address bug. I miss my music.

Device: ZTE Axon 7
Android OS: 6.0.1
Spotify Version: 6.5.0.1816 armV7

I suspect this issue is caused by some peculiarity of the ZTE device and you'll probably need to try their support forum.

First, make sure that android doze isn't causing this issue.

Android settings > battery > app power saving

• Tap on the "detail" box
• Tap on "Spotify"
• Tap "Disabled"

I had the same issue, even after tweeking the power saving settings, and restarting phone, those thing helped out a day or two but problem always came back, spotify would close on lockscreen... 2 days ago out of nowhere my axon 7 restarted it self abruptly without notice, after it booted up, my spoyify is working normal.. If it screws up again Ill keep you guys posted...
