Bad quality of the sound

My songs in spotify sound terrible, with an echo and the voice sounds far away like faded and the bass sounds louder but my other apps like youtube and netflix sound perfectly fine, please help! My account is premium!

Hey guys, ran into this problem tonight and after scrolling through my settings i realised i had the wrong mode defaulted on my laptop. In my case i had my bluetooth headset set in hands free mode and not in the Stereo mode. This put the sound quality back to its crisp experience. Hope this helps you guys 🙂

One potential cause for this issue is the type of headphone jack that you are using.

If you playing device is set up to have mic capabilities but the jack that you are using is not (a TRS jack, identifiable by having just one band on the jack) then you will get the echoey sound. I tested this and it was the cause of the problem for me.

It is troubling that Spotify has not identified this issue themselves ...  to make up for this it would be nice if Spotify could find a 2 male RCA to TRRS 3.5mm jack, which I have have been unable to find

Had the same issue on my MacBook Pro with bluetooth headphones.

I had to re-pair headphones and problem looks solved now.

Strange thing was that all other applications playing sound were all working great. Only Spotify had this issue. Luckly It's solved now.
