What did you do to fix it?
Are you using the most up-to-date app from google play? (0.6.4 I think)

Really the only thing holding me back is the thousand song limitation in Google's playlists. I like to take ALL of a few Genres and throw them into a random playlist, but for some inconceivable reason, Google won't allow it.
You may be able to only put 1000 songs in a playlist, but you can queue up multiple playlists and shuffle between them. So you could do one playlist per genre and then just queue them all up.
I'm sadly reporting that the blank screen issue is back, with the 0.6.4.46 version.
The app worked well yesterday, and until a few hours back. But in one of the starts, it went to the white/blank screen again.
So, I first tried to delete the config, uninstall and reinstall, with no luck.
So, at least I have *NOT* deleted the 0.5.12.52 version setup file, which I installed and is working right now.
😞
@Tokafondo -- is Spotify saving to your internal storage or SD card? How much space do you have on each?
Well I upgraded to 6.4.46 and so far everything is working. In the past, within 24 hours, i would lose my playlists. I will keep you all posted on what happens. And BTW, at least in my case storage has nothing to do with it as I have a new HTC one with next to nothing on it.

3,50 GB on internal memory
7,11 GB on sd card
6.4.46 on HTC one seems to have fixed this for me
I've uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, downloaded directly from Google Play Store, Spotify Mobile, Formatted SD card, (there is literally 1 picture i took last night on the SD card), i have 7.34 G of SD storage, plenty of USB storage
App will either Load like its going to work, then freeze, and crash (then i get the white screen) OR
i open it with nothing but a white screen.
when i was able to get the application to actually load, and i attempted to delet Cache and settings, it would crash while doing so, and give me the white screen
i dont know what to do anymore. My wife uses my account on her phone when im not using it, so i dont want to just cancel service.
All my apps are working perfect (with the exception of Instagram...it hasnt acted right for anyone since they added video)
any help?
Samsung Galaxy S2, Jellybean 4.1.2
It's difficult to know as the instances I had were so sporadic, but this instruction SEEMS to have fixed my issues on my S3.
=====================================================
Hey All,
I too was having this issue. I was about to break my phone in two and cancel my subscription. I REALLY hate that I have to be tech genius to work simple things on my phone. And im not implying that I am a tech genius, just get so annoyed with things I will try to find a solution before I go insane.
Solution:
(1) Uninstall spotify app from your phone
(2) Make sure all saved data is deleted from phone - applications data
(3) Restart Phone
(4) Go to http://m.spotify.com/us/
(5) Click on manually download to phone.
(6) Once download is complete, click and install
(7) Restart phone again
At this point the app should open. Log in and get on. Once this happens, you should be able to get in the app store and update. Let me know if this works for others.
Is Spotify going to fix this? I have a brand new phone and this is the first app and Im getting a white screen. I quess I need to look elsewhere.
Refus are you still getting that white screen on your Android app? Or is it sorted now?

but Im getting messages - 'new songs and suggestion...`so apparently the app is talking to the servers
Can you try restarting your phone by holding the Home and Lock buttons together for 10 seconds.
Is there not a fix for this yet?
I've been having this problem on and off for month now.
Recently had to do a factory reset of my phone and afterwards the problem is back.
