My Question or Issue

Hello

I'm hoping someone here can offer assistance as I'm st my wits end. 

Recently Spotify launches on its own and starts playing. I have a pair of Bluetooth tredz headphones and I am listening to a different music application. If I press pause then a few minutes later the phone doesn't resume the other app but launches Spotify instead. 

Can someone please tell me how to stop this? It's incredibly annoying and I'm on the verge of cancelling my family account and trying another provider.

I can't see any setting in Spotify that is causing this, or any option in android. 

Does anyone have any ideas?
