Can I add local files to my Spotify playlists directly from my phone?

I would like to be able to skip the step of having to take local files from my phone to my PC. It makes the whole process a little bit more aggravating.

If direct uploading isn't possible from Android, it definitely should become a feature.

Recent posts from other users indicate that Spotify is trialling a way of doing just that but most of us will have to wait patiently for this to roll out to everyone (if indeed it ever does).
