Can I move spotify files manually to SD-card? (see extra info in my post)

Jow community, My question is actually simple.
Can I move my spotify files manually or will that mess them up? 

Some extra information.
So I was looking at my memory on my phone and I saw that spotify takes up 3 GB (thats like 40% of my phone memory). So I went to my settings and changed the storage of spotify to SD-card (which I read about online).
But it appears that the files are still stored on my phone-memory. I really need some phone memory!

Hi there,

I'm spotify go to

SETTINGS / OTHER / STORAGE 

And you should be able to select your SD Card, spotify will then move the files there. 

If it doesn't work I suggest deleting the data from the app by uninstalling it, then reinstall and select the storage before downloading the songs offline
