My Question or Issue

 

Whenever i try to play songs that i uploaded from my local files from my computer on my phone, there is an exclamation mark under them, they're greyed out and i can't click on them. I have tried most solutions online, reinstalling the app, restarting the device, redownloading the playlist, connecting to the same wifi, nothing works. Does anyone know what i could do? Thanks in advance!

My router is less thab 5 years old and supports Bonjour.
I do not have the luxury of trying another private network or devices, I can only use Mt home ones. Despite that, my Internet is 100% fully functioning except for this issue with Spotify, so it is absolutely not a router issue.

In order to investigate this further, please share with us know the following info:

  • The make and model of your devices.
  • The OS version you're running.
  • Your Spotify app version.

We do appreciate the info and all your collaboration.

 

In order to have some more context, please share with us some screenshots showing how your playlists look on both devices (where the Local Files are supposed to be). 

 

Also, at the beginning you mention that your firewall has whitelisted Spotify. It's worth trying to sync the files between your devices with the firewall completely off.

 

Lastly, are the files on .mp3 format or any other?
