Cant connect with smartwatch

So I just got a smartwatch Fossil Q Marshall. I bought this device so i could easily skip tracks change volume etc. on Spotify.

But everytime I try connecting to Spotify it stays stuck on the connecting screen for 2 minutes and than it just stops. When I launch Spotify on my phone while connecting it shuts down immediately. Is there a solution for this problem?

1. Play Spotify on your Android phone.
2. On your Android Wear device, play or pause Spotify from the clock.
3. Swipe up to access Spotify.
4. Swipe right for the controls. Tap to skip tracks and change the volume.
5. Swipe right again for Browse.Tap Browse and select Your Library, Browse, or Radio.
