Cant see the album art and controls on lock screen?

My Question or Issue

 Is there a way to bring the album art and controlls from the second image to the first in the lock screen? I know that it looks like that on iphone but cant seem to find out how here. (new phone) also from what I found looking this up prior people were directed to "sound and notifications" which I cant find on the note 9 (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/It-doesn-t-show-on-the-lock-screen-anymore/td-p/1353962). If anyone could help I would love it thanks!
