Crash after Staring song or add to playlist

Everytime I star a song or add one to a playlist the app crashes and restarts. This has been occurring for months now. During that time I've reinstalled Spotify multiple times because I've been flashing new ROMs. Even before I rooted my phone this was an issue. What's going on Spotify? Why can't you fix this? It's extremely annoying when I star a song the app crashes!!

It's a known bug. Spotify have informally announced they are working on a massive new redesign of the app and we can only hope that a) it will actually be released soon and b) it fixes all the ridiculous problems that exist with the Android app before we've all found a better alternative
