Denon AVR-X3000 no longer connects with Spotify

I had my Denon AVR-X3000 for over 2 years now and it's flawlessly connected through the amp with Spotify.
I upgraded the Denon firmware about a month ago. Over the course of the past two weeks I've had to log in multiple times through the Denon app and now I'm getting a problem connecting error. So no Spotify at all via the home speakers.
Has there been some technical changes?
