Devices not showing up for external play

Is anyone aware of a way of forcing a refresh on the "devices available" list. If I leave my house (Wi-Fi net 1) for the day and return after work(net 2) it refuses point blank to show my receiver and hangs on to my work computer. I can check the list for hours. The only fix I found is either to reset my router and update my IP addresses, (but while it then finds my receiver it still hangs on to my work computer) or uninstall and reinstall spotify in my phone.

And no, retaining the work machine isn't a problem and yes the receiver is available and findable with other apps
