Downloaded music not staying downloaded

Downloaded music not staying downloaded

All of my music says it's downloaded, but it will not play when I go offline. My music I have downloaded also doesn't stay downloaded if I close the app. I've been doing everything all the forums say to do and it still won't work. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I have everything updated to the most recent version. Please help, I'm growing irritated.

@Gavin517 hey gavin, thanks for your patience,

Often something occurs with the offline files on your devices. The cache may become corrupted, or mis-register what songs are available to download, and disconnect from the app.

If you follow this link you can reset your offline devices. Then you'll need to perform a quick reinstall of Spotify with these steps (make sure you restart your device after un-installing).

next, you can sign out of all devices here.

and to re-install on android cleanly

Go to System Settings

- Go to "Apps"

- Find Spotify there

- On Spotify's page, first, tap "Force Close"

- Then tap "Clear cache" if it's not greyed out.

- Then tap "Unninstall" and remove the app.

- If you can, remove the battery now. Power back on.

- Using a file manager on your phone or with your USB cable and your computer, go to Internal Storage > Android > Data and delete a folder called com.spotify.mobile.android.ui

- Reinstall Spotify from Google Play

let me know if that resolves your issue!
