Downloading songs to listen to offline

Hello? If I have downloaded an album to listen to offline, why would I need to re-download a few weeks later?

Not at all, unless you let your Spotify in offline mode for more that 29 days. The app itself tells you how many days you have left to go online before downloads get deleted.
