My Question or Issue
My problem is as follows:
I have an SD Card in my phone for media,
I open the Spotify data settings and set it to use the SD Card for downloads,
It shows in the app that the downloads are in my SD Card and 40GB are taken up from my SD Card storage,
When I open the Android storage settings, it reports Spotify as taking up 40GB from Internal Storage, rendering the use of the SD Card useless as the system still thinks the internal storage is used up, giving me storage warnings and preventing me from installing new apps

Hi there @StayedFiddle594,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Can you click on Spotify under Apps in your phone's settings as seen on one of the screenshots you sent and check what it says there about the storage usage there? Since everything's set up correctly in the app's settings and the SD card is selected there, the downloads shouldn't be stored in your internal storage, but you can also try the following to give it a fresh start:

  1. Unmount your SD card from your Android settings.
  2. Reinstall Spotify
  3. Reinsert your SD card and reboot your device
  4. Make sure the SD card is selected as Storage location in the app again afterwards.

Keep in mind that a reinstall will remove your Spotify downloads and you'll have to download them again afterwards and since you have quite a lot, we'd understand if you don't want to do this. However, in most instances where there is a similar issue, a reinstall of the app does help, so we do recommend trying it out.

Keep us posted.

Hello Dessi, I have attached the requested screenshot.

You can notice that I put the whole app on the SD Card but it didn't seem to have an effect.

I have tried reinstalling the app when I first noticed the issue, although I admittedly did not go through the full steps you sent in order. I will try your suggestion and update my answer after I renew my data plan.
