Freezing songs/phone

I have an android Samsung Galaxy S6 running 5.1.1 and I'm finding that my Spotify is freezing my entire phone multiple times a day.

I'll jump in my car, plug in the aux and fire up Spotify. Pick a song from my starred playlist (this also happens to any song, saved or streamed, playlist or not). The song will play for a few seconds then stops, my entire phone freezes and I'm unable to do anything with it, this lasts up to 10 seconds, the song will play for a fee moments again and then stops. The second time is usually shorter than the first. This happens every 15 songs or so.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have removed all saved songs on my phone and re-downloaded them. I've run DU booster to try and clean up my phone a bit as well. It runs perfectly fine till Spotify acts up. I have previously owned a Samsung Galaxy S5 that had this same issue and no troubleshooting steps helped there, either. I was hoping a new and "fresh" phone would resolve the issue but it's just as painful as before.

Any assistance or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
