Get Spotify working on Moto Display Moto e2 5.1

I own a Moto e2 3G xt1511 with Android 5.1, and I have Spotify Premium. I also use Moto Display, but Spotify doesn't show controls for it. I know that feature is on 6.0, but I also own the same model as my job phone and it does have spotify controls for Moto Display; both phones use the same Android built.

I'd like to know how I must configurate my app/phone to have Moto Display controls, given that I've it already on my work phone.
