Google voice commands to play full album in order?

I asked a similar question over a year ago that was not resolved, moved to Google Play Music, and now I'm back into Spotify.

Whenever I say "OK Google" and ask to play an album, it'll start by playing the top tracks, rather than starting from the first song. Has this never actually been fixed, or am I not using a particular command? I'm glad I'm using Spotify again, but this is a bit irritating. If someone is requesting an album, shouldn't it be assumed they want to listen to the album as it's designed? Any help would be appreciated.

Update: It appears to work fine when Android Auto is activated, but does not work correctly otherwise.
