How do I stop songs from playing twice in a row when shuffling Liked?

For months now, I have had an issue when shuffling my Liked playlist, where some songs will play twice in a row, and I have to manually skip ahead. I have tried both a quick and a clean reinstall of the app (Android) but the issue persists.

We are aware that there are some issues with Shuffle play recently, where the app repeats certain songs or a group of songs. Our teams are working on improving this behavior. 

We don't have a definite timeline for a fix yet, but we'll keep you updated here when we have more news on the matter.
