How do i play louder ?

I have a speaker that i hook up with AUX however, it just wasn't loud enough. I hook it up with my laptop and its loud so i know its not the speaker, i downloaded an app that allow me to make sounds louder and it works with apps like youtube, but it doesn't work when spotify is playing, is there a way to make it louder ?
