How to keep Spotify from Auto playing in the car

My Question or Issue

How to keep Spotify from auto playing in the car. All possible relevant settings in the car; on the phone; and in spotify app are turned off, but spotify continues to turn on whenever the car starts. None of the suggestions have worked, so I'll be un installing spotify because it is a driving hazard.

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry to see you've been having issues with your playback starting automatically in the vehicle.

Could you let us know if you're using an Android or iOS device when connecting to it?

I've seen this behaviour before and what helped out was a change in the Android Auto app settings. If you have an Android and you haven't tried this out, perhaps it's worth giving it a shot 🙂

Go to the Android Auto app > Settings and look for an option that should say something along the lines of "Start music automatically" or "Automatically start media when you start driving". Disable it and re-connect your device to the vehicle to see if there's a change.

I had to uninstall it. I tried everything possible to stop it but it will not stop. They seem to not care anymore about it customers. It will eventually get them but the person raking in the money will be long gone and fat and happy.
