I Can Only See My Own Shares in Activity

Hey guys. I'm somewhat new to Spotify. My roommate and I figured it would be pretty cool to follow eachother, then when we find good tracks we can "Share/Post" them. I figured since we're following eachother, we'd be able to see eachother's Posts/Shares in the "ACTIVITY" tab. However, both of us can only see our own shares, not each other's.

We're going to Share > Post To... and then clicking POST. Is this not how this feature is intended to work?

I've looked this up on google for about 20 minutes without much luck in finding an answer, sorry if this has been previously asked and answered.
