I cannot listen to podcasts on hp slate 7 running android but I can on my ios devices

The strangest thing ever! I am a spotify user under a premium plan. I have recently installed spotify on an HP Slate 7 device running Android version 4.1.1.

Using spotify on my iOS devices or laptop computer operating windows is no problem. I can easily find my music and preferred podcasts. However, I cannot find some podcasts on this Android device. 

While using this hp tablet, I tried clicking on a link to one of the podcasts I shared from my other non-andoid devices on my Facebook wall. HP Slate 7 opened up spotify afterwards, but didn't open the podcast. It didn't even show me information of the artists, creators, or shown episodes. It only showed me a previous or recently played song, one I was listening to before trying my search for the troubled podcast.

What happens? Is it an incompatibility problem with the device? Is it a problem with the podcast's providers and their agreements with Spotify?
