Issues with non downloaded music randomly stopping while on data

A couple of months ago my phone started having issues playing non downloaded music on data, songs or whatever I was listening to would randomly stop but would start back up again when I unlocked my phone. It will play my downloaded music just fine. Has anyone else come across this issue?

This sounds like it could be linked to a battery-saving feature/app on your device.

Could you remove any of these apps/features or make Spotify an exception to them?
